With more than a decade of immigration law experience, Melissa collaborates with executives and legal and human resources personnel to address nonimmigrant and immigrant business immigration issues. Melissa has worked with startups, emerging companies, mid-sized and Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of industries including computer, software technology, biotechnology, electronics, pharmaceutical, and banking/financial services.
Melissa also advises clients on a wide variety of family immigration matters including family-based adjustment of status, naturalization, specialized citizenship issues, consular process, conditional residence, humanitarian parole, VAWA, asylum, waivers, fiance visas, and visas for victims of crimes. Melissa also has extensive experience with detention and removal matters before the immigration court (EOIR) and Board of Immigration Appeals.
Melissa has practiced business immigration law at some of the nation’s premier immigration law firms in San Francisco including a multi-practice firm, a mid-sized firm and a global full service immigration firm. She practiced family immigration law with mid-sized and boutique firms in Dallas and Houston. She clerked with the Chief Counsel of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Dallas during law school. She received her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University. Melissa is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is fluent in Spanish.
Diego handles both nonimmigrant and immigrant business visa issues and advises companies in all aspects of immigration practice and policy concerns. He has helped hundreds of individuals, businesses, universities and schools with their immigration needs over the course of his career. He works closely with corporate clients in a variety of industries to manage and support their NIV and IV immigration needs.
Diego’s prior legal experience included overseeing all employment-based immigration cases at prestigious boutique immigration practice in Houston. He has provided pro bono legal assistance to individuals in Texas and has participated in numerous TV, radio programs and conferences at universities and schools.
Diego obtained his JD with honors from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and obtained his LLM degree in International Law with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is fluent in Spanish.
